Future
Will is known as predictive future, describes known facts, or what we suppose is true, will is also used to express an immediate decision and to make an offer or request.
Be going to describes intentions or plans. At the moment of speaking the plans have already been made.
Going to is also used to describe an event whose cause is present or evident. Decisions expressed with going to refer to a more distant point in the future.
In predictions, we prefer present forms when there is outside evidence for what will happen – when we can see something coming.
We prefer will when we are talking more about what is inside our heads; our beliefs, guesses, knowledge, etc.
Present Continuous describes personal arrangements and fixed plans, especially social and travel arrangements. We often give the time, date, and/or place.
We sometimes use the simple present to talk about the future. This happens mostly when we talk about timetables, routines and schedules. These sentences usually contain future time words. The following verbs are used in this way: open, close, begin, end, start, finish, arrive, leave, come, return.
